Thursday Lunch Club celebrates Christmas
The Thursday Lunch Club (TLC) celebrated Christmas on Thursday 19th December in the parish hall, with a magnificent lunch with all the trimmings, carols and mince pies. This was a free meal, kindly paid for by the Waitrose green token scheme.
TLC meets twice a month and for £5 provides a home cooked meal for elderly people living alone in Headington. It is run jointly by Corpus Christi and Holy Trinity parishes. The club provides a meeting place and company as well as the lunch. Volunteer drivers take guests to and from their homes. If you know an elderly person living alone, who might like to come, or if you would like to help with driving, cooking, putting out furniture, laying the table or other tasks to make this possible, please contact Katya Drummond 01865 763161 or katya@shotover.net
Any chocolates left over from Christmas can be left in the sacristy, labelled TLC , for the free raffle – thankyou!
