Parish Seminarian Runs for CAFOD

Jonathan Henry, a Seminarian studying at Valladolid College in Spain, is currently assigned to Corpus Christi because the College has been closed down during the Corona-virus pandemic.  The students now dispersed in parishes throughout England and Wales, have decided to act to bring to the attention of parishes the effects of the pandemic throughout the world.  Coronavirus (Covid-19) has now spread worldwide, with confirmed cases in many countries where CAFOD works.
The spread of this virus to countries with poor health systems will be devastating. Families without enough to eat and without access to clean water, possibly living with HIV or other underlying health conditions will be particularly vulnerable to coronavirus.
CAFOD’s programmes around the world are run by local experts and CAFOD is in constant touch with them as they plan for how to deal with this crisis.  In order to continue protecting and improving the lives of those in poor communities, your prayers and gifts are needed now more than ever.  The students of Valladolid through their sponsored relay run are contributing much needed funds to support the Church assisting these impoverished communities.
